Andy McNeill
Andy McNeill is an accomplished entrepreneur and investor with over 20 years of experience building and scaling businesses, primarily in the waste and specialty waste sectors.
He is a recognized leader in sustainable business practices with a proven track record of identifying opportunities, driving innovation, and creating value.
- Denali Water Solutions: Founded in 2014, Denali has grown to nearly $1 billion in annual revenue and is the largest handler and recycler of food waste in the United States. Under Andy’s leadership, Denali developed a nationwide network of feed, fertilizer, fuel, and compost facilities.He strategically utilized various capital structures, partnering with private equity firms, a university, and an insurance company to fuel the company’s growth through acquisitions. Denali was acquired by TPG in 2020 and remains the largest investment within TPG’s growth funds. Andy continues to serve as Chairman of the Board.
- Vertically Integrated Solid Waste Platform: Andy grew a comprehensive solid waste platform that was successfully sold to LRS (a Macquarie platform) in 2021. LRS is the fifth-largest privately held trash platform in the United States.
- Terra Renewal: Founded in 1995 and sold in 2012, Terra Renewal became the 23rd largest waste company in the United States, specializing in food processing and municipal recurring waste streams.
- Exploration and Production Service Company: Andy founded and grew a successful company providing solids and liquids management and equipment rental services in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Pennsylvania, which was sold in 2013.
Andy has served on various charity and civic boards throughout his career, including most recently a governor appointed board overseeing higher education in Arkansas.
Andy serves and has served as a board advisor for several private equity-backed businesses in diverse sectors, including demolition and abatement, plastics, clean room technology, solid waste, a car wash platform and propane.
Andy also owns AMMCO, a Texas-based industrial services company, and Jackalope, a bicycle company and is dumb enough to own a restaurant.
Andy splits his time between Colorado, Arkansas, and Texas. He is an avid mountain biker, skier, reader, and book collector. He recently became a grandfather and enjoys spending time with his family…he is also still working out his grandfather nickname.
